Speeding up a computer

This can be done in several ways, over time your computer may become slower due to the number of programmes you have installed and updates you receive from the applications as well as windows itself. Hard drives can deuterate, especially on the old mechanical hard drives and this can affect the performance of your computer. So maybe you’ve just got used to your computer speed and want some more performance? Well, good news! You don’t always need to go out and spend hundreds on a new computer you can just upgrade certain parts of your computer as and when the technology moves forward. Adding components such as SSD drives, extra memory or upgrading your processor can save on costs whilst still giving that fresh system performance. But before we go into that there are applications that can you help to clean up your computer to get rid of all the old/temporary files to claim extra hard drive space back. You can use a disk clean up that is pre-built into Windows; the wizard will inform you on which files you can delete and how much space hard drive space it will free up….
Here are some useful application links to help you speed up your computer and claim back that extra space…

SSD without going into much detail and HDD do the same thing as a mechanical hard drive does, but, the data is stored in flash memory and on average it’s around 10X faster. The size of a traditional hard drive is 3.5” compared to the size of the SSD at 2.5” as it is smaller and lighter, you may need to check the bay size in your case (conversion brackets available in the Shop). SSD is more expensive compared to traditional hard drives, but they are becoming more reasonably priced as they get more common and they do have a longer life span than traditional hard drives…
Having both installed in a system is a great way to spread costs and performance, by using the SSD drive for your applications and operating systems and using the mechanical hard drive for your games storage will ensure the performance is available when needed and maintain ample storage for all your games, photos, music etc.
